Beautiful rendering
VSCode- and Notion-style pages: GFM tables, task lists, fenced code with syntax highlighting and a language badge, KaTeX math, and GitHub/Notion callouts. YAML front-matter is hidden automatically.
Pretty Markdown you can write on, by hand. 예쁜 마크다운 위에, 손글씨로.
MD Note renders your own Markdown files into clean, VSCode-and-Notion-style pages — then lets you annotate them with Apple Pencil. Edit the Markdown in any external editor, and your handwriting re-anchors and follows the text it belongs to.
Coming to iPad. Link goes live at launch.
Ink is anchored to the content it sits beside — by content hash, not screen position. When you edit the file in VSCode or any editor, MD Note detects the change and re-anchors your notes so they stay with the right block, even as text shifts up or down.
Before · you annotate
After · the .md was edited elsewhere
Whole sections can be moved and the ink comes along (matched with LCS plus moved-block detection). If a block disappears entirely, its handwriting waits safely in an orphan tray — it is never auto-deleted. The app never edits your .md; notes live in a separate sidecar file.
Everything below ships in version 1.0. View and annotate your own local files — beautifully.

Write over the page with the native PencilKit palette — pen, marker, eraser, lasso, ruler and colors. Double-tap to erase. Pinch to zoom; pen draws while finger scrolls, with an optional finger-drawing toggle.
Handwriting is tied to content blocks, not coordinates. Edit the file elsewhere and your notes follow the text up or down. Ink whose block disappears moves to an orphan tray instead of being deleted.
Read as a single continuous, scrollable page — no awkward page breaks. Pick a per-document paper background (plain, ruled, grid or dots), adjust text size, and jump around with the heading outline.
Export to PDF with your handwriting merged onto clean paper, paginated for long documents. Or share a note as a zip bundling the original .md together with its ink.
The app makes no network requests at all — the renderer, highlighting and math engine are bundled locally. No account, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. Your files never leave the iPad unless you export them.
MD Note works entirely on your device, on your own files. There is nothing to sign in to and nothing phoning home — by design, not by promise.
Zero network requests of any kind. Markdown, syntax highlighting and math all run from code bundled inside the app.
No sign-in, no analytics, no crash SDK, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs whatsoever.
Nothing leaves the device unless you tap Share or Export. Notes save to a separate sidecar — your Markdown is never modified.
Drop your .md files into the MD Note folder, read them rendered, and write in the margins with Apple Pencil.
iPad only · iPadOS 17 or later · Light, paper-like by design.
