MD Note(이하 "본 앱")를 이용해 주셔서 감사합니다. 본 앱은 사용자의 개인정보를 가장 강력하게 보호하는 방식, 즉 애초에 아무것도 수집하지 않는 방식으로 설계되었습니다. 본 개인정보처리방침은 본 앱이 정보를 다루는(또는 다루지 않는) 방식을 투명하게 설명합니다.

한 줄 요약

MD Note는 어떠한 개인정보도 수집하지 않으며, 어떠한 네트워크 통신도 하지 않습니다. 계정, 로그인, 분석 도구, 광고, 추적, 제3자 서비스가 전혀 없습니다. 모든 처리는 사용자의 기기 안에서만 이루어집니다.

1. 수집하지 않는 정보

본 앱은 다음을 포함하여 어떠한 개인정보도 수집, 저장, 전송하지 않습니다.

이름, 이메일 주소, 전화번호 등 개인 식별 정보
계정 정보 또는 로그인 정보 (본 앱에는 계정 개념 자체가 없습니다)
위치 정보
연락처, 사진 보관함, 캘린더 등 다른 앱의 데이터
사용 통계, 분석 데이터, 진단/크래시 보고
광고 식별자(IDFA) 및 추적 식별자
쿠키 또는 그에 준하는 추적 기술

본 앱에는 분석 SDK, 크래시 리포팅 SDK, 광고 SDK, 추적 SDK 등 제3자 소프트웨어 개발 키트가 전혀 포함되어 있지 않습니다. Apple의 앱 추적 투명성(App Tracking Transparency) 권한 요청도 하지 않으며, 추적 자체를 하지 않습니다.

2. 모든 처리는 기기 내에서만 이루어집니다

본 앱은 100% 오프라인으로 동작합니다. 본 앱은 어떠한 종류의 네트워크 요청도 하지 않습니다. Markdown 렌더링에 사용되는 구성 요소(markdown-it, highlight.js, KaTeX)는 모두 앱 내부에 함께 포함되어 있으며, 외부 서버에서 불러오지 않습니다.

본 앱은 문서에 포함된 로컬 이미지를 표시하기 위해 자체적인 mdasset:// 방식을 사용합니다. 이는 사용자 기기에 이미 저장되어 있는 사용자 본인의 이미지 파일을 디스크에서 읽어오는 로컬 파일 접근일 뿐이며, 원격 서버에서 무언가를 불러오는 네트워크 동작이 아닙니다.

3. 파일 접근 범위

본 앱은 사용자 본인의 로컬 Markdown 파일을 보고 그 위에 필기를 추가하는 용도로만 동작합니다.

사용자는 iPadOS의 파일(Files) 앱에서 "나의 iPad → MD Note" 폴더에 .md 파일(및 이미지용 images/ 하위 폴더)을 직접 넣어 사용합니다.
본 앱은 사용자가 직접 제공한 파일에만 접근하며, 기기의 다른 파일이나 영역을 탐색하지 않습니다.
필기 데이터는 원본 .md 파일 옆에 <파일이름>.md.inknote라는 별도의 사이드카(sidecar) JSON 파일로 저장됩니다.
원본 .md 파일은 본 앱에 의해 수정되지 않습니다. 본 앱은 보기 및 주석(필기) 전용입니다.

이 모든 파일은 사용자의 기기(및 사용자가 설정한 사용자 본인의 iCloud Drive 등)에 머무릅니다. 본 앱은 사용자의 파일을 개발자나 제3자에게 전송하지 않습니다.

4. 데이터가 기기를 벗어나는 유일한 경우

사용자의 파일은 오직 사용자가 직접 공유(Share) 또는 내보내기(Export)를 실행할 때에만 기기를 벗어납니다. 예를 들어 다음과 같은 경우입니다.

PDF로 내보내기 (필기가 합쳐진 결과물)
노트 공유하기 (.md 파일과 필기 데이터를 묶은 zip 파일)

이때 파일이 어디로(예: 메일, 메시지, 다른 앱, 클라우드 저장소) 전달될지는 전적으로 사용자가 iPadOS의 표준 공유 시트에서 선택하며, 그 처리 방식은 해당 대상 앱/서비스의 정책을 따릅니다. 본 앱은 이 과정에 개입하거나 사본을 보관하지 않습니다.

5. 데이터 보관 및 사용자의 통제권

본 앱은 데이터를 외부에 보관하는 서버를 운영하지 않습니다. 모든 데이터(사용자의 .md 파일과 필기 사이드카 파일)는 전적으로 사용자의 통제 아래 있습니다.

데이터를 삭제하려면 파일(Files) 앱에서 해당 파일을 삭제하면 됩니다.
본 앱을 기기에서 삭제하면, 본 앱이 관리하던 파일 영역의 데이터도 함께 제거됩니다.
본 앱이나 개발자에게 데이터 삭제를 별도로 요청할 필요가 없습니다. 수집하거나 보관하는 데이터가 애초에 없기 때문입니다.

6. 아동의 개인정보

본 앱은 모든 연령대가 안전하게 사용할 수 있습니다. 본 앱은 아동을 포함한 누구에게서도 어떠한 개인정보도 수집하지 않습니다. 계정, 로그인, 채팅, 외부 통신 기능이 없으므로, 미국 아동 온라인 개인정보 보호법(COPPA) 및 유사한 아동 개인정보 보호 규정의 취지에 부합합니다. 수집되는 정보가 전혀 없으므로 아동의 정보가 노출되거나 전송될 위험이 없습니다.

7. 제3자 서비스

본 앱은 어떠한 제3자 서비스, 분석 도구, 광고 네트워크, 클라우드 백엔드와도 연동하지 않습니다. 본 앱에는 제1자(개발자) 클라우드 동기화나 계정 서비스도 없습니다. 사용자가 자신의 파일을 어디에 저장할지(예: 기기 내 저장 또는 사용자 본인의 iCloud Drive)는 사용자가 iPadOS 차원에서 직접 관리합니다.

8. 본 방침의 변경

본 개인정보처리방침은 향후 앱 기능 변경이나 법령 변경에 따라 갱신될 수 있습니다. 변경 시에는 본 문서를 수정하고 상단의 "최종 수정일"을 갱신합니다. 중요한 변경이 있을 경우 동일한 URL에 게시하여 안내합니다. 본 방침을 정기적으로 확인하시기를 권장합니다.

MD Note Privacy Policy (English)

Thank you for using MD Note (the "App"). The App is built around the strongest possible form of privacy protection: it does not collect anything in the first place. This Privacy Policy transparently explains how the App handles — or, more accurately, does not handle — information.

In One Sentence

MD Note collects no personal data and makes no network requests whatsoever. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party services. All processing happens entirely on your device.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data, including but not limited to:

Personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or phone number
Account or login information (the App has no concept of an account)
Location data
Data from other apps such as contacts, photo library, or calendar
Usage statistics, analytics data, or diagnostic/crash reports
Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or tracking identifiers
Cookies or similar tracking technologies

The App contains no third-party software development kits (SDKs) of any kind — no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK, and no tracking SDK. It does not present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt because it performs no tracking.

2. All Processing Happens On Your Device

The App is 100% offline. It makes no network requests of any kind. The components used to render Markdown (markdown-it, highlight.js, and KaTeX) are all bundled locally inside the App and are never loaded from any external server.

The App uses a custom mdasset:// scheme to display local images contained in your document. This is simply local file access — reading your own image files from disk on your own device — and is not a network operation that loads anything from a remote server.

3. Scope of File Access

The App exists only to view your own local Markdown files and add handwriting on top of them.

You place .md files (and an images/ subfolder for pictures) into the "On My iPad → MD Note" folder yourself, using the iPadOS Files app.
The App only accesses the files you explicitly provide. It does not browse or scan other files or areas of your device.
Your handwriting is saved in a separate sidecar JSON file named <name>.md.inknote, located next to the original .md file.
The App never modifies your original .md file. The App is view-and-annotate only.

All of these files stay on your device (and within your own iCloud Drive or storage, if you choose to use it). The App does not send your files to the developer or to any third party.

4. The Only Time Data Leaves Your Device

Your files leave your device only when you explicitly choose to Share or Export them. For example:

Exporting to PDF (a clean copy with your handwriting merged in)
Sharing a note (a zip bundle of the .md file and its handwriting data)

In those cases, you decide in the standard iPadOS share sheet exactly where the file goes (e.g. Mail, Messages, another app, or cloud storage), and how that destination handles the file is governed by that destination's own policy. The App does not intervene in this process and does not keep a copy.

5. Data Retention and Your Control

The App operates no server and retains no data externally. All data — your .md files and their handwriting sidecar files — is entirely under your control.

To delete data, simply delete the files in the iPadOS Files app.
Deleting the App from your device also removes the data stored in the App's file area.
There is no need to request data deletion from the App or the developer, because there is no collected or stored data to delete.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is safe for users of all ages. It collects no personal data from anyone, including children. Because there is no account, no sign-in, no chat, and no external communication, the App is consistent with the intent of the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar children's privacy regulations. Since nothing is collected, there is no risk of a child's information being exposed or transmitted.

7. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with no third-party services, analytics tools, advertising networks, or cloud backends. There is also no first-party (developer) cloud sync or account service. Where you store your own files (for example, on-device or in your own iCloud Drive) is something you manage yourself at the iPadOS level.

8. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated in the future to reflect changes to the App's features or to applicable law. When it changes, we will revise this document and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Any significant changes will be posted at the same URL. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
